Nearly 30 years ago, Shon Harker graduated from the University of Washington with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and began a journey of product innovation and development. In the late 1990s, Harker invented a new type of elastic band called the “safety sleeve elastic.” This new type of band features a fabric sleeve around it that greatly enhances its durability and safety.
The safety sleeve elastic was a breakthrough in multiple industries.
